20,000 Dialogues is the primary outreach effort of Unity Productions Foundation (UPF), a non-profit 501(c) 3 educational and film productions company. We work for peace through the media by producing films that tell stories about Muslims in history and contemporary society. These films become the centerpiece for dialogue and discussion programs in classrooms, museums, community organizations, and public institutions.
20,000 Dialogues: Talking About UPF Films
The idea of 20,000 Dialogues started after the release of UPF’s first film, Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet. People around the world viewed and discussed the film in their efforts to understand Muslims and build relationships after 9/11. The 20,000 Dialogues initiative was launched in August 2007 with the national PBS broadcast of UPF’s Cities of Light.

Several of UPF’s films have received national television broadcast on PBS. Worldwide, UPF’s films have been seen by an estimated 150 million people.
